Peter de Klerk was second on the day in his Brabham BT26 Cosworth from Bruce van der Merwe’s Brabham BT20 Repco, while outgoing 6-time champion John Love held de Klerk off for second in the title chase with Bobby Olthoff, Jackie Pretorius, Paddy Driver and Willie Ferguson next up.
