1977 – With team designer Gordon Murray (at the rear wing), Brabham’s testing procedures were always clear, calm and collected. Here, Hans Stuck quietly waits in the Martini-Alfa BT45B as a new set of test tires are fitted. He would qualify second in the 1977 US Grand Prix, but would loose his clutch a few laps after the start. The Brabham eventually popped out of gear entering a corner and Stuck went straight into the barriers while in the lead.
