European Trophy for Formula 2 Drivers, round 5, Flugplatz Tulln-Langenlebarn, Vienna, Austria 14th. July 1968. The event was run over two 35 lap heats, both being won by Jochen Rindt in the Roy Winkelmann Racing Brabham-Cosworth FVA BT23C/5, followed by the Matra-Cosworth FVA MS7 – respectively chassis 5 and 6 – cars of Beltoise and Pescarolo. Kurt Ahrens in the #10 Brabham-Cosworth FVA BT23C/8 brought his car home in fourth in both heats, and fourth on aggregrate. Graham Hill overshoots and looks to have spun here, in the Gold Leaf Team Lotus-Cosworth FVA 48/R2 hence he finished only tenths a lap down. He didn’t start in the second heat due to an oil leak.
