This shot by Mike Dixon was taken in morning practice, the car turning a wheel for the first time. In the 25-lap race Lunger pressured Dutchman Gijs van Lennep into a mistake with a couple of laps to go, passing the Shellsport Lola T330 to win. Lunger also set a new permanent outright lap record for the old Snetterton 2.71 mile circuit, lapping in 1m 18.4 secs, an average lap speed of 124mph.
