1970 – The picture was taken during the 2nd Annual Continental Grand Prix at Riverside International Raceway, which was 1970 SCCA Continental Formula A season opener, held on 19 April. Happy John Cannon just won the 40 lap race with an average speed of 114 mph, driving Hogan Racing’s McLaren M10B Chevrolet, chassis ‘400-01’. Here he is at the 1971 Lime Rock Park Formula Continental race where he drove the #7 March 712M with an FVC engine in the SCCA Formula 5000 event.
