At the end of my first season of motor racing in 1965 I won the 750 Motor Clubs ‘Mike Eyre Trophy’ for the best newcomer of the year. My wonderful Father Jimmy took this picture of me celebrating with my gorgeous Mum Varena. Wonderful memories of my first tentative steps in the sport which I shared with my fantastic supportive parents….I miss them so very much. Photo and info from Mike Wilds.
1969 – Being fitted into the first single seater I ever raced. Think it was 1969 with my dear friend Mike Lee who built a modified JW F4… not much protection for my feet! Photo and info from Mike Wilds

1987 Came across a picture I got many years ago from legend Graham Gauld. Very relaxed with fellow driver Marc Duez before the 1987 Brands Hatch 1000k’s. The four years I drove for Ecurie Ecosse were among the most enjoyable seasons of my life. I got to drive with legends like Ray Mallock, Win Percy, Johnnie Dumfries, David Duffield, Marc Duez and the very sadly missed David Leslie, happy days indeed. Info and photo from Mike Wilds /left/
